How has Stoicism been of value to you as a philosophy of life?

Last year I undertook CBT for my social anxiety, and whilst it was effective, Stoicism has enabled me to cement the changes since then because it is a practical philosophy that is easier to apply for everyday use, unlike CBT (and the endless filling in of thought records etc.) I also did MBSR and have found Mindfulness to be the perfect compliment to Stoic practice.
