  1. Of the many — too many, in my opinion — popular introductions to Stoicism, few match the excellence of Stoicism and the Art of Happiness. Donald Robertson explains Stoicism in easily understandable language without trivializing the philosophy or condescending to the reader. He also places ancient thought in a modern context without anachronizing, and he shows how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tends to confirm Stoicism’s efficacy. The book’s laurels are well-deserved. Read it, if you haven’t done so already!

  2. Congratulations Donald, Not surprising.
Your First Edition of “Stoicism and the Art of Happiness” was one of the first books I read when first introduced to Stoicism. Since then I have followed your blog posts and courses on stoicism.
While my practice of stoicism ebbs and flows, I can honestly say that it has enabled me to live with a significant level of peace and joy.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and understanding of Stoicism.
